Kumasi Asante Kotoko, midfielder Jordan Opoku, has said that, this season is not like the previous which they play only the league, as compared to this season which they are playing league, MTN FA CUP and Elite Club Cup competitions.
Jordan attributed their performance this season to fatigue on the part of the players,’’ he disclosed it to Rite Sports.
According to him they also played a lot of friendly games about thirty four games before the season started and it seems that is the course, but he hope the second round will be different per the training they have had, and promise of their ambition of lifting the trophy at the end of the season.
Meanwhile, they have resumed from the break and preparation towards the second round is ongoing, even their performance on the Elite Club Cup was not bad. ‘’he stressed’’
He also stated that, there was no problem between him and their former head coach Mas Wud – Didi Dramani as it’s was speculated but said that things were not going on well with them but is not that they had issues.
We still need prayers from the supporters as they always do, which saw us win the league back to back, and with the help of God Asante Kotoko will bounce back and retain the trophy, “said Jordan”
Jordan on the other hand praises the players of Somanya All Stars for their good performance they put up against them on their friendly match at the Somanya Sra Presby Park on Monday and attributed their good performance to talented players and urged the players to respect, train and focus on their career.
