COVID-19: Asante Kotoko Players Agree Pay Cut

Players of Ghana Premier League giants, Asante Kotoko have agreed to accept pay cut following the outbreak of the novel COVID-19 pandemic which has brought football to a standstill.

According to the General Manager of the club, Nana Kwasi Gyembibi Cooker, the players have communicated to the head coach of the club Maxwell Konadu to accept a 40 percent pay cut to support the team’s fight against the virus.

The players initially did not agree to pay cut due to what they called ‘’miscommunication’’ by the Management of the club about a pay cut.

‘’The coach has told us that the players have accepted a pay cut. It is 40 percent, the General Manager confirmed’’.
