The Ayews can’t unite;Swansea coach decline new signings

Swansea City stop gap coach Alan Curtis has shut Ghana striker Jordan Ayew’s dream of re-uniting with his brother Andre Ayew at the liberty Stadium as he hints that there will be no signing for the Swan this January.

The Swans were reported to have line up a move for the former Lorient striker to support Ghana’s deputy captain Andre Ayew upfront but the caretaker coach has revealed that there will be no more signing.

The Swans’ caretaker manager claims that it will be difficult to get value for money in this transfer window, due to inflated prices and increased competition.

Swansea City, 17th in the league, are actively looking to sign a striker this month, but are afraid that might not happen due to a lack of funds.

Only Aston Villa have scored fewer goals than the South Wales outfit this season, and with Bafetimbi Gomis linked with a move to Qatar it seems inevitable that the club would bring in a new forward.

Charlie Austin, Patrick Bamford and Loic Remy have all been linked with the Welsh side, but they face competition from Crystal Palace and Bournemouth among others.
