Scoring rate will improve – Michael Osei

Goals bring about victories and where goals become scarce, draws or defeats get nearer.

That is why there are calls on the technical team to work on the team’s scoring rate.

Responding to the calls in an interview with Asantekotokosc.com, deputy coach Michael Osei expressed the hope that, the situation would change.

He admitted that, Kotoko would have to score and win convincingly in some cases. He was quick to add that, the technical team was working around the clock to get the team to score and more.

“This is of great concern to everyone in the team. We have to score to win. We’ve been working so hard on that. I can tell you that, the situation will improve” he said. “It will change very soon” said Michael Osei. Amed Toure scored in the match day 16 fixture against Heart of Lions but that lone goal wasn’t enough for the Porcupines who lost 3-1 to the Kpando team.

Though Kotoko was one of the highest scoring clubs in the first round of the league, scoring 18 goals, many Kotoko fans hold that, the club’s scoring rate is still low.
