An astute Sports Journalist , Mr. Owusu Bempah has said that , he is not surprise of the GFA-Normalization Committee extension mandate by the world football governing body [FIFA] to September 30.
FIFA, has written to the NC of their extension mandate and this latest development puts to rest months of speculation on whether the Normalization Committee would have extension of mandate from FIFA or not.
He said, it was not individuals who appointed the members of the committee but FIFA and so based on the NC recommendations to FIFA sees the need extend its mandate to September,2019.
Government of Ghana and FIFA has had a cordial working relationship since the Anars expose in last year,’’said Owusu Bempah’’.
The NC earlier on requested FIFA to extend the mandate to ensure they comprehensively complete their mandate, it continued that, the NC outlined its road map for the elections.
In other related development, the NC has announced the appointment of the following individuals to serve on four Committees of the Association which includes, Referees Committee, Disciplinary Committee, Player Status Committee and the Appeals Committee.
Meanwhile,former Black Stars player,Samuel Osei Kuffour has replaced Lawyer Dua Adonten as a member of the FIFA/GFA normalisation committee.
