‘GAME BOY’ TAGOE ON FIRE

The Ghanaian sensational boxer, Emmanuel ‘Game Boy’ Tagoe, last Friday made a huge statement about his ambitions to annex a world title, after he made light work of Filipino boxer Joebert Delos Reyes in their WBA International Lightweight Championship contest staged at the Accra Sports Stadium

After being decorated with the title, Tagoe, who has a ring record of 22 victories (nine knockout) and one loss, vowed to annex a world title for the country within the shortest time possible.

True to his prediction, the Ghanaian ended the fight via the short route with a fourth round technical knockout (TKO), after the Filipino had previously visited the canvass thrice in a one-sided bout in the presence of a teeming home crowd.

Tagoe’s entrance into the ring was as extravagant as the manner in which he exited with the title. The confident Bukom lad arrived with a swagger of royalty as he entered the ring dancing on a palanquin accompanied by vociferous supporters, an act which raised expectation to fever pitch.
