Free SHS is challenge with lack of inadequate facilities – E/R Minister

The Eastern Regional Minister has met the 97 heads of Senior High Schools in the region to find solution to challenges and matters arising following the implementation of free S.H.S enrollment.

Speaking to Rite Morning Ride, Hon. Eric Kwakye Daffour has said, during his tour to the various schools. He noticed that most of the institutional heads are facing numerous challenges enrolling the students posted to the school.

Some challenges enumerated include; excess students than applied for, limited boarding facilities to host all boarders and inadequate teaching and non-teaching staff.

He met the heads of all the 97 Senior High Schools in the region to brainstorm on solutions to those challenges.

Hon. Eric Daffour added that, after the meeting, he has drafted all complaint, challenges which he will forward to the Ministry of Education to address the situation to achieve the President’s vision of “Free S.H.S”.
