Cope with Free SHS complications – Cobbler tells SHS heads

Mr. Emmanuel Kweku Haijor has urged the various heads of public secondary schools to cope with the emerging challenges after the implementation of the free SHS program.

He said the policy is very laudable and helpful to parents but because it is the first time of implementation, it is going to come with some challenges.

The popular radio caller and cobbler known on air as Mr. Nobody made the call when speaking on Rite FM’s wo potem te sen? segment of the Morning Ride on matters arising from the free senior high school policy, the serial caller said, “definitely some challenges will automatically emerge  but the various heads should try their best to accommodate the students whilst government works to address the challenges.”

According to him, as the various heads received students more than they use to, there will be problems with infrastructure related issues but they should not see it as obstacles but rather cope with situation so that all the beneficiary students can access education.

Weeks later after the implementation of government of Ghana’s free SHS program, both parents and school heads have complained for inadequate classroom and boarding facilities, desks among others, leading to sack and interdiction of some school heads.
