Black Queens Without Captain Elizabeth Addo For WAFU Women’s Cup Of Nations

Black Queens will be missing the services of captain Elizabeth Addo for the WAFU Women’s Cup of Nations tournament in Cote d’ Ivoire.

The team left the country yesterday without their key midfielder who has joined her new Club Seattle Reign in the States.

Addo was expected to lead the team for the competition, however, will not be available after her new Club requested for her services.

Assistant Coach Mercy Tagoe Quarcoo who will be supervising the team at the competition will have to make use of the available Arsenals in the absence of the former Kvarnsveden ace.
Long-serving Liticia Zikpi could lead the team as the stand-in captain after returning into the squad. Zikpi made her way back to the team after correcting a knee injury which had troubled her over the years.

Ghana is in group A with host Ivory Coast, Niger, and Burkina Faso whiles group B is made up of Nigeria, Senegal, Togo and Benin.
