Samuel Kwame Agyekum confirmed DCE for Asuogyaman

The Asuogyman District Assembly today confirmed Mr. Samuel Kwame Agyekum as the new District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area.

Out of the fifty-two Assembly members and government appointees who took part in the confirmation exercise at the premises of the Asuogyaman district assembly, forty seven members voted ‘yes’ for Mr. Samuel Kwame Agyekum, representing a 90.33% percent approval rating for the president’s nominee for the area to confirm him as the new DCE.

The new DCE thanked the assembly members for the confident reposed in him and promised to work assiduously towards the development of the area, while continuing developmental projects begun by his predecessor and also elevate the Akosombo Textiles Limited since it a renowned factory that can generate revenue and provide employment for the people in his district.

He urged all assembly members, chiefs and all stakeholders to support his office for a successful tenure since the NPP Government has a lot of policies that can favour the Asuogyaman district such as the one district, one factory project since it is a farming area.

He seized the opportunity to thank his Excellency, the president, Nana Akuffo Addo for his nomination. He also expressed his profound gratitude to the Nananom (traditional authorities) and also the Member of Parliament for the area Hon. Ampem Thomas Nyarko for supporting his cause.

Honourable Pious Enam Hadzide-Deputy Minister For Youth And Sports who sat through the exercise as a government appointee expressed his appreciation to the assembly members for such overwhelming endorsement for the nominee and urged all to help and support him to enable him fulfill the vision of the NPP Government led by Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo in the district since the president could never have erred in nominating honourable Samuel Kwame Agyekum as DCE for the area.

A number of dignities who witnessed the exercise included honourable Thomas Ampem Nyarko – MP for Asuogyaman and former DCE for the area, John Evans Appiah- Deputy Regional Electoral Officer, Mr. Paul Ansah- Director General for Ports and Harbour and Mr. Seth Aboagye-  Eastern Regional secretary for the NPP among other dignitaries.
