The head pastor of the New Abirem Church of Rabbi, in the Birim north district of the Eastern region, Daniel Kofi Sasu has condemned the use of condoms to prevent unexpected pregnancies and sexually related diseases like syphilis, gonorrhea and HIV/AIDS.
Many men and women in the country for known reasons like, “am learning a vocation, and am still in school, I want to meet the right man or woman” choose to satisfy their sexual life demand by using condoms. However, a pastor has wowed to lead an anti agree crusade.
Pastor Sasu made the disclosure in an interview with rite news, when our producers approached him to seek his view on the use of contraceptives and condoms as means of preventing STD’s and pregnancies.
According to him, condoms and contraceptives can in; no ways prevent diseases stating that man is inflicted with diseases and sufferings, as punishment for turning away from the Bible and its commandments.” God alone can protect somebody from contracting a disease, but man cannot protect himself in any way” especially using rubber, He stressed.
He expressed gross displeasure about institutions and government agencies that freely distribute condoms to people just to promote promiscuity, but with intent of reducing and preventing STD’s, they rather promote it instead.
“What is the state of the economy and HIV rate in the country, it’s alarming and you think just condom can prevent the curse from adultery and prostitution” He added that HIV/AIDS has never reduced, but government will not disclose the truth, because there is profit for its importation.
The man of God has therefore cautioned journalists across the country to stop advertisement of condoms because the free distribution is reason for infertility amongst many women in the country, accompanied by increased teenage pregnancies in rural and urban areas.
He bemoaned also that, the many women who turn up to prayer centers in search of husbands and children today is on the rise, because of condoms adopted at tender ages, “and when God has closed the womb, you go about chasing pastors” He concluded.
