OGOME BASIC SCHOOL SUBSCRIBE TO E-READING.

The Ogome Anglican Basic School in the Yilo Krobo Municipality has subscribe to an electronic reading system, Thursday 27th July, 2017.

The project which is sponsored by the World Reader with parthnership from Mr. Julius Afedi, inhabitant at Yilo has come to help improve the culture of reading and reduce the falling standard of education in the area.

The World Reader group donated fifty mobile Tablets for the school.

According to Mr. Alhassan Abdul Kahad, the education specialist of World Reader, “these tablets are developed solely for reading. These devices cannot be used to watch movie, and cannot be used to listen to music.”

Both pupils and teachers were giving three days training on the use of the handset.

Mrs Eugenia who is the headmistress of the school has expressed gratitude to both World Reader and Mr Afedi for the support.

Mr. Afedi Julius has appealed to parents, old students as well as other stake holders to assists fight the falling standard of education in Krobo land.

The Yilo Krobo Municipal Director of Education, the Regional Manager for Anglican schools, the chief of Ogome and parents were all present to grace the occasion.
