The second term parliamentary representative for the Yilo Krobo Constituency in the Eastern Region, Honorable Lawyer Magnus Kofi Amoatey has expressed his 2017 Christmas message to his constituents, urging for a peaceful co-existence among the people.

“I wish the people a peaceful coexistence, merry Christmas, victorious and incident free Christmas for all living within the cardinals of the constituency,” he said.

Lawyer Amoatey regretted the several incidents of chieftaincy disputes which continue to disrupt development in the constituency and called for peaceful resolution of such issues.

“Chieftaincy disputes have disrupted the development of the constituency for 2017 and therefore all disputes among the chiefs should be resolved towards driving the agenda of development in all dimensions.

According to Hon Magnus Kofi Amoatey, the divisions have resulted in divisions among chiefs and appealed for all differences to be buried.

“In respect of unity, there are divisions among our chiefs and this is preventing development. I am therefore appealing that a year by this time, all differences should have been buried, especially among our chiefs so as so unite the entire Yilo Krobo,” Hon. Magnus Amoatey hoped.

He therefore urged all stakeholders in the development of Yilo Krobo to take up the responsibility to work diligently towards developing the welfare of the people of the Yilo Krobo Municipality.

He thus encouraged followers of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the NDC to continue to exhibit the democratic practice of oneness, love and support for each other.

He therefore called on all the constituents to support the Municipal Chief Executive of the Municipality, Hon. Ebenezer Tetteh Kupualor through prayers and counselling.

Hon. Kofi Amoatey who won his first parliamentary bid over the NPP’s major Rtd Christian Kofi Tettey in the 2012 general elections called on party members and loyalists to keep supporting his candidature for the rest of his stay in office.
