The greater Accra Regional secretary and member of Krobo Heritage Council Mr. Stephen Teye Mensah Djaba has advised the youth of the Krobo states to venture into Agriculture, the traditional occupation of their fore fathers.
According to Mr. Djaba, agriculture was the main drive of wealth for the Krobo back in the centuries.
“Our ancestors cultivated palm plantation, cocoa and cereals in large quantities which enriched Ghana’s export and foreign exchange earnings,” Dr. Teye Mensah revealed.
“Our youth of today has lost focus and it’s time to help them get back to their root which was the source of wealth of our fore fathers.”
. He cited that the first Eastern regional minister Hon. Korboe was a great farmer and it’s time the youth learn inspirations from him.
He also advised the Krobo youth to take advantage of one of government industrialization policy programmes, planting for food and job to rejuvenate the passion for agriculture among Krobos.
