Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho has gone bananas on Catholic Bishops and other members of the clergy who openly protested the importation of two ex-Guantanamo Bay detainees into the country.
The NDC Deputy Scribe speaking on Accra-based Neat FM took the Men of God to the cleaners for daring to protest the action taken by the executive to allow the two ex-detainees to stay in the country.
According to him, the Bishops are “Pharisees in cassocks” who only recover their sense of reasoning when issues concerning the Presidency and the NDC pop up in the country.
“I know these Bishops to be full of common sense but when they see and hear anything that has to do with the President, then they leave their common sense and start to complain. They should watch it and stop those trivial issues they are coming up with because I know they are just doing politics with it,” he asserted.
Koku, who was very angry with the Bishops, further claimed that most of the Bishops are Pharisees who are without compassion and were condemned by Jesus Christ.
