Yilo Krobo Municipal Health Directorate Crowns Annual Performance Review Meeting With Awards For Hardworking Staff

Under the theme Achieving Universal Health Coverage through quality care, quality data, and ICT Amidst Covid-19 Pandemic, Yilo Krobo Municipal Health Directorate has held its routine annual performance review meeting at the Municipal Assembly Hall with a call to train staff on judicious logistic management.

Speaking on Friday, the District Health Information Officer for Akwapim South – Mrs. Donkyire Margaret noted that Yilo Health Directorate scoring an overall 3.0 out of 5.0 was an indication of good performance, thus the directorate needed to orient staff on how to manage and make good use of logistics and resources.

That notwithstanding, the directorates led by Mrs. Irina Ofei, the Director of Health Services awarded 7 hardworking and deserving staff with certificate and an undisclosed item in a parcel for their dedication to duties in the year 2020.

On her part, Gladys Dzameshie the overall best health worker admonished the Ghanaian youth who want to enter the health service profession to have the passion and commitment to deliver on the call despite the bitter challenges.

Other awardees included a community health nurse, Elorm Sonnu – Obenyemi Health Center and a second runner-up, Jennifer Armah who is an enroll nurse at Klo Agogo Polyclinic.

Special awards were won by Emmanuel Wourchie, Janet Ackah and Rebecca Onyame. Rachel Aniniwaa Addo, the Municipal Disease Control Officer won the best worker at the directorate.

Some notable personalities present at the review meeting were the Yilo Krobo Municipal Health Director, Mrs. Irina Ofei, Hon. Ebenezer Tetteh Kupualor, MCE for Yilo Krobo, Mrs. Veronica Apetorgbor of Dodowa Hospital, Mrs. Angela Quaye – chairperson of the occasion, Mrs. Emily Augustine, who is the Health Director for Akuapim South District and Health Promotion Officer for Lower Manya Krobo Health Directorate, Mrs. Rose Lawer.
