Yilo Krobo Municipal Assembly Holds First Assembly Meeting Today

A total number of 63 Assembly members including 44 elected and various heads of department within the Yilo Krobo Municipality are currently engaged in a meeting to deliberate on matters of interest to the development of the municipality.

By law, each Assembly is mandated to convey its Assembly members and meet at least, three times in a year. However, the implementation of this section of the Local Governance Art, for outbreak of COVID-19 in March, 2020, which placed ban on all forms of social gathering by the President of the republic H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, was affected.

The meeting, which we were noted, will last almost the whole day is going to consider and approve the 2021 fee fixing and annual budget for the Assembly. The rest are discussing the Executive Committee Report and resolution to procure motorbikes for the current Assembly members. The Municipal Chief Executive of the area, Hon. Ebenezer Tetteh Kupualor will also address the house to inform them of the development project the Assembly has undertaken in 2020

The Member of Parliament for Yilo Krobo constituency, Hon. Lawyer Magnus Kofi Amoatey is expected to attend the meeting.
