The Chairman for the Agric. subcommittee at Akuapem North Municipal Assembly, Hon Daniel Awere has assured the Department of Agric. (DOA) at Akuapem North Assembly that, they will work hard and lobby for resource allocation and approval of the 2017 proposed budget plan of the department of agric. at the general Assembly meeting. He said this on an online interview with the Rite 90.1 FM morning ride segment. ‘’Feed the Future Platform’’ on Tuesday October 4, 2016.
According to him, they used to receive the composite budget from the Department Of Agric. and also respond to it from the previous years but through the MAASI’s orientation workshop for the subcommittee on the 2017 plan and budget of the DOA they have understood it and each one of the members has been given a copy as their personal document for them to lobby from what the DOA requires.
‘’This MAASI’s orientation has serve as an eye opener for the Agric. subcommittee and we promise to work extremely hard to develop our district in the area of agriculture since four members of the Agric. Subcommittee who were part of the program are also members of the Executive committee at the assembly so we will push until we achieve our goal’’ he added.
In furtherance he explained that the propose budget of the DOA involves a lot of trainings, demonstrations and infrastructure to help improve the agricultural sector. He pleaded that; Ghanaians should support them in prayers to move the sector growing.
