We are not yet perfect—AGRA Ghana Boss

The Country Head of AGRA Ghana, Dr. Kwasi Ampofo, in an exclusive interview with Rite 90.1 FM yesterday at La Palm Beach Hotel in Accra, Ghana, at the companies Five Years Business Plan Consultative Forum which will commence  its program from this year 2016 and will end by 2020 revealed that the plan is an all inclusive one. He believes that the program during implementation will provide the targeted beneficiaries the best “piece meal” they deserve to develop their capacities in food production for their own consumptions and commercialization.

Dr. Ampofo said in as much as their past implemented projects had immense impact. The new program will raise the level to a higher one. AGRA is poised to double the production level of small scale farmers in Ghana.

On value chain provision for farmers, Dr. Ampofo said AGRA is not yet perfect. However, the next Business plan which is ensuring all inclusiveness in both partnership and implementation will provide holistic value chain interventions for small scale farmers.

On sustainability, Dr. Ampofo said indications that a small scale farmers has develop themselves from the grass root production to the national expectation grade will provide the most sustainability in food security Africa expects.
