Elvis Appah, Eastern regional chairman of Akwasi Adae Odikes’s party, the United Progressive party, UPP has stated in an interview with Rite FM that the party is not dormant and very vibrant this time since a lot of plans and strategies are being employed to wrestle power from the ruling National Democratic Congress, NDC come the 2016 general elections.
Mr. Appah said he and his party are very sensitive and understands the plight of the ordinary Ghanaian and are sure to surprise Ghanaians with their rescue intervention modules which contain the potency of transforming the lives of the people.
“I know Odike is very competent, hardworking and submissive and these virtues will help us achieve our aim of causing changes in some economic sectors such as the energy crisis, education, agriculture amongst others.
He has therefore charged Ghanaians to look out for the United Progressive Party in the 2016 elections, adding that they will prove to Ghanaians that their party has not come to joke by making empty promises that can never be achieved.
Mr. Appah added that the UPP is the only political party that can end the economic hardships Ghanaians are going through. He said claims by the ruling party that they are social democrats who care for and about the people is nothing but a sham.
