Take Your Studies Serious, Beware of Kidnappers – MCE

Municipal chief executive for the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality, Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh has observed ‘My first Day at School’ in his municipality as he toured several schools to welcome pupils back to school on the first day of reopening.


The MCE took the opportunity to advice the students to glue themselves to their books which will be the only way to be responsible people in future to contribute to the development of the country.
A team from the Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Education Directorate led by Mrs. Agnes Akweley Attipoe, Deputy Director of Finance Administration and Nana Aplam II, Paramount Queen Mother of Manya Krobo Traditional area who is also an educationalist in charge of Girl Child Education, accompanied the Hon. MCE and his entourage.

Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh presented teaching learning materials (teaching learning resources -TLRs) to all the pupils in the KG and P1 (B1) in all the schools he visited on behalf of the President of the Republic of Ghana, H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to officially welcome teachers and pupils back to school. He also refreshed BB learners (pupils) with assorted drinks and biscuits to enjoy their first day in school as they starts the journey to future leadership in different capacities.

The MCE who is a former classroom facilitator at Manya Krobo SHS cautioned BB learners ( pupils) to beware of strange people harming citizens as kidnapping cases are currently disturbing the peace of the country. He advised them not to accept gifts or talk to strangers either home or in schools.

He also tasked all head teachers and teachers in the schools in his Municipality to be extra vigilant with the movement of the pupils especially children in the lower classes.

Mr. Simon Kweku Tetteh reminded the teachers to report any suspicions incident to the appropriate authorities to save lives of children
He lauded all the teachers for their patient contribution towards the just ended curriculum orientation.
