Shatta Wale, Gasmilla, Others Donate To Flood Victims Ahead of ‘Pre Republic Day Beach Rave’ Concert

Light A Million Lives and Quallo’s Production the organizers of The Pre Republic Day Beach Rave scheduled for 27TH June 2015 at Labadi Beach together with all the artiste who are billed to perform on the Beach Rave donated to the Flood Victims at Asylum Down on the Thursday 11TH of June 2015.

The flood which happened on the 3RD of June 2015, took over a One Hundred and Sixty lives, destroyed property worth millions of cedis and rendered hundreds of people homeless.

The donation which was held at the Asylum down roundabout was very well organized and attended by artiste like Shatta Wale, Gasmilla, Dada Hafco, Keche, Episode amongst many others. The group brought along Food, Water, Antiseptic Liquid, Antiseptic Soap, Wipes, Sanitizers, Clothes and a whole lot of items. Donations were made to over three hundred individual families and the Nadmo and Police where on site to help locate the families and to maintain order and peace.

In an interview with the Executive Secretary for Light a Million Lives in the person of Mr. Mel Kwesi Davis, he stated that this gesture is not to say we are replacing what they have lost, rather to say we feel their pain and also by the fact that the event which comes off at the Labadi Beach on the 27TH of June is a funding raising event to help people in distress so if the country has suffered such a terrible tragedy, it is just right to show their concern now but not to wait till the event is over before they can help. He also said that after the event, they would do even more donations with Solar Lanterns and more relief items. He entreated everybody to be part of the event at Labadi so that together we can all hold hands to help each other whilst we have fun.

All artistes who were present like Shatta Wale, Gasmilla, Keche, Dada Hafco, Episode, Masaany etc at the donation also gave various messages to consul the people and also indicate their support to them in any way they can. They further went on to personally share the relief items to the victims in attendance.
