Thanks to the contribution of 50 bags of cement from the CEO of Rite FM, Mr. Addo-Fening in support of the rehabilitation of the Abrewankor M/A school in the Eastern region, the school can now look forward towards its commitment to the construction of the kindergarten block and other infrastructure.

The Chief Executive Officer of Farm Management Services Limited, FMSL multimedia donated the building materials worth GHC 1490 to the school at Abrewankor in the Eastern Region for the construction of the KG block, school toilet, water supply, teaching learning materials, among other needs.

The donation was in direct response to a fundraising event held by the school on Sunday to solicit public support towards the construction of the school.

The school which is currently in a state of disrepair is posing serious effects to teaching and learning activities in the school.

Perhaps worst hit is the KG block where the children are forced to learn under a shed. The situation which is not conducive for purposes of learning comes as a dire infrastructural challenge to the school.

Other challenges confronting the school include the absence of teaching learning materials, lack of potable water and the school toilet which is in a state of serious disrepair and poses a risk to students who use the facility.

The fundraising by authorities of the school was therefore aimed at raising the needed resources to renovate the school.

Other sympathizers present at the event donated varying amounts in aid of the school project.

Headmaster

Meanwhile, the Headmaster of the Abrewankor M/A Junior High School, Mr. Isaac Tetteh who regretted the failure of most invited dignitaries to turn up for the event however commended Rite FM and the CEO, Mr. Addo-Fening and other donors for their kind gesture.

Of specific mention was the station’s ongoing District Education Observer Project (DEOP II) which he added has greatly impacted and influenced some key support towards the school.
