Sachet water producers within Agomeda, Asuogyaman, Asutsuare, Yilo and Manya Krobo areas have unanimously agreed to increase the price of their products from the current 10p per sachet to 20p, effective 1st September 2015.
In an interview with the deputy chairman of the pure water producers association of Yilo and Manya Krobo, Mr. Ebenezer Odonkor on the Morning Ride on Rite FM, he said the new prices have already taken effect from Tuesday, 1st September. He said the price which has been increased by hundred per cent will see one bag which used to be sold for Gh c 2.00 now selling for Gh c 2.50 whole sale and Gh c 3.00 by the retailers.
Explaining what has informed their increments, he said that cost of production was the biggest driving force. He advised the general consumption public to corporate with them in these new increases.
