Poultry Farmers Complain Of Low Patronage

Poultry Farmers in the country have complained with frustration of low patronage in their poultry production especially last year as a result of the Avian Influenza.  Mr. Jonas Adamu Osafo who is the director of Hymbic Farms and also a poultry farmer at Annum in the Eastern region in an interview revealed that last year’s production of poultry was not encouraging at all as a result of the bird flu.

He said they could not feed their birds properly due to financial constraints they had to go through. Additionally, he said drugs were also in short supply which resulted in their inability to properly treat infected birds resulting in them losing some of their birds.

In all, Mr. Osafo was frustrated with the fact that he and his colleagues in the business of poultry farming did not get any profit from their business.
