The Country Coordinator for climate Action Network Ghana, Mr. Samuel Dotse has noted that tree planting is one of the major solution to climate change.
According to him planting trees can help address climate Change because plants absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen in return.
Speaking to Rite FM news in an interview, Mr. Doste stressed that trees save rivers and streams from drying up, cool the environment, serve as wind-breaks and provide serene atmosphere for student to study as well as feed for animal during the harmattan season.
He said Climate Change had been a major concern for nations all over the world but countries like USA and Burkina Faso have taken the decision to plant trees to solve this climate Change.
Mr. Dotse therefore advocates that tree planting should be a national interest and all stakeholders must be involved.
