Renowned sports analyst Mr. Owusu Bempah has thrown his support for the Ghana League Club Association [GHALCA] on their petition to the Liaison team, to scrap off the second round of the Zylofon Cash Premier League.
Mr. Owusu Bempah speaking on Rite FM’s Sports World show on last Saturday, commended the Association for the giant steps they are taken to scrap off the second round of the Zylofon Cash Premier League and said it is a good step for our football, and for its integrity and credibility it is a step in a good direction. He added that, a league full of bribery and corruption should be re-structured, well organized and re-plan so as to not repeat those acts again.
He further opined that, Ghana should not submit any club to participate in neither the CAF Champions league nor CAF confederation Cup next season because none of our premier league clubs deserves to participate for Ghana in CAF’s inter clubs competitions.
“We played just fifteen matches and it is not enough preparation for our clubs to participate in CAF competition and also for some years now none of our clubs who participate in CAF competitions goes beyond the group stages.” Owusu Bempah disclosed.
He further encouraged Ghanaians to rally behind the government to bring in new reforms into our football for the good of the game and for our country.
