One person has been confirmed dead in a motor crash which occurred Sunday morning on the Cape Coast – Yamoransa road in the Central region.
Eight others are in a critical condition and are currently receiving treatment at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital.
The motor crash involved three vehicles – a Sprinter Bus with nine passengers on board from the Takoradi end of the road, a University of Cape Coast Pentecost bus and a parked vehicle.
According to an eyewitness, the driver of the Sprinter lost control of the steering wheel and began “straying from one side of the road to another” and rammed into a parked vehicle by the roadside.
The incident happened at the Pedu Junction.
The Police have towed the vehicles and there is free flow of traffic on that stretch of the road now.
