Eastern regional 2015 best farmer, Mr. Emmanuel Duah has strongly condemned rumours and allegations that certain oil palm makers are rsorting to the use of millipedes in the palm oil making process and which they in turn sell to the innocent and unsuspecting consuming public. According to the best farmer, the rumours have taken a bad toll on their palm oil businesses as patrons are shying away from buying their products.
Mr. Duah who is a mixed crop farmer and who was speaking on Rite FM’s Akuafo Se Sen on Wednesday in an interview said though he could not confirm the allegations, they were to the effect that some unscrupuos palm oil manufacturers in their bid to make their palm oil ‘more attractive’ have adopted the habit of using millipedes to mix the palm oil.
He said patrons were thus walking away from their products which is a major problem facing them since it was affecting their income.
