Mahama Will Win 2016 Election

The Deputy Transport Minister, Madam Joyce Bawa Mongtari, has remarked that, the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), was gradually fulfilling majority of the promises it made to Ghanaians in the run-up to the 2008 and 2012 Presidential elections.

According to her, the electorates bought into the promises and voted massively for the party, and the party will not relent in fulfilling these promises as part of its social contract with the people.

Madam Mongtari, who is a lawyer by profession, made this remarked at the First Volta Regional Tertiary Educational Institutions Network (TEIN) conference held in Ho, the Volta regional capital over the weekend.

Mrs. Bawa Mogtari, insisted that the John Mahama government, having fulfilled the several promises it made to the good people in the run-up to the 2012 Presidential elections, the good people of Ghana, would surely renew the mandate of the President in the 2016 election to continue with the monumental developments taking place across the country.

According to her, the infrastructural projects and the social intervention programmes, including free sandals to school children, community day schools, LEAP among others, being undertaken by the government, is impacting positively on the lives of the citizenry.

Key among the party chieftains; who spoke at the ceremony included, the Acting General Secretary, Koku Anyidoho, Transport Minister, Dzifa Aku Attivor, Member of Parliament (MP) for Adaklu, Kwame Agbodza, Deputy Regional Minister, and Francis Ganyaglo.

The rest are, the Regional Vice Chairman, Col. (Rtd) Cyril Necku, and Deputy Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Art, Dzifa Abla Gomashie-Ahiaglo.

Other party stalwarts, who graced the function included, the Regional Youth Organizer, Egypt Kobla Kudoto , his two Deputies, Mathias Alagbo and Suleman Mumuni, Regional Communication Officer , Kafui Agbeze and his Deputy, Chester Atti, Ho Central Constituency Executives and some Constituency Youth Organizers from the region.

The programme, which was a capacity building meeting, attracted several party bigwigs to the Volta Regional capital and its environs.

On his part, the National Organizer of the party, Kofi Adams, noted that the party would work hard to ensure a resounding victory in next year’s election for President Mahama.

A Minister of State at the Presidency, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, who electrified the whole auditorium, when he took his turn to address the teeming supporters of the party, said, “I have no doubts that going into the next elections based on the track record of the government of John Mahama. I know we will surely come out victorious, and we will trounce the NPP for the third time,” he opined.

According to him, even though there is so much to show for the President’s stewardship, the party will not leave any stone unturned to ensure victory in the 2016 elections.

He further enumerated all the major infrastructure projects currently under construction across the country.
