Lower Manya Krobo: Toyota Mini Bus Involves In Accident, All On-Board Sustains Serious Injuries
News gathered indicates that a Toyota bus with registration number GR 9332 Z with 15 persons onboard from Kumasi heading to Ho has involved in an accident at the Asitey curve in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality Friday evening.
According to George Kojo Aboagye, 47, victim said the engine of the Toyota bus went off upon reaching the top of the Asitey mountain. Effort by the driver to control the bus failed as it veered off the road in the curve
Even though no death was recorded, Rite FM follow up from two hospitals in the municipality revealed that serious injuries are sustained
While 11 casualties including students are receiving treatment at the St. Martins de Porres Hospital, the remaining 4 are at the emergency unit of the Atua Government Hospitals.
Our information has it that police in the Odumase Command are doing everything possible to establish contact with the relatives of the victims.
They are also working to secure the traveling properties of the victims.
