Kyeremanten Dorgnuanor Residents Decry Post Harvest Loss, Say YKMA Neglects Them

Residents of Kyeremanten Dorgnuanor are accusing the Municipal chief Executive of Yilo Krobo, Hon. Ebenezer Tetteh Kupoalor for denying them of development.

The residents contended that the government, both past and present administration through the municipal chief executives, is sabotaging the rehabilitation of a feeder road from Nkurakan to Kyeremanten Dornuanor
Speaking to Rite FM on conditions of anonymity, the residents, most of which are peasant farmers says access to market for their farm produce is always challenging to them.

As a result, farm produce of residents get rotten to the detriment of their had end efforts in farming.

Residents of Kyeremanten Dornguanor treck over four kilometers to send their farm product to the nearest market place, Nkurakan.
As part of augmenting government effort to reshape the only access road, the community raised over Ghc 3,000.00 to reshape the road to be motorable to transport their goods to the market centre at Nkurakan.
According to residents, the money was presented to the assembly to fuel the Grader to reshape the road for over two years ago, but yet to be given the needed attention.

To the dismay of residents, the assembly called the community leaders to come for their money saying; government will reshape the road.

The community is further alleging that, the cheque presented to them by the Assembly was fake.

All effort by Rite News Department (RND) to get the Municipal Chief Executive respond to the allegations proved unsuccessful since his both contacts with the RND were off as of the time.
