As part of efforts to liven up the spirits of kids during the Independence holidays, kids in the Lower Manya Krobo district were on Monday the 7th of March, 2016 given a rare treat at the Laasi Park at Odumase.
The event dubbed ‘The Independence Day Kids Funfair’ was organized by The Beautiful Heart Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organization that seeks the welfare of children by creating awareness on social matters concerning them, in collaboration with Artbees Multimedia.
Madam Selma Fedil Korley, Founder of ‘The Beautiful Heart Foundation’ in an interview with Rite news indicated that the aim of the event was to promote and nurture the spirit of patriotism in children and also give them the opportunity to showcase their talents.
According to her, the event which has been running over the past few years was opened to basic school children, particularly primary and senior High Schools though a lot of non-school going children equally took part.
The success of the fair was credited to the kind sponsorship of the Scottish Books and Stationery, Mama Vits Noodles, Hammer Securities and Blue Skies.
