JUSSAG ReceiveS ¢15m; Calls Off Strike

The Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana (JUSSAG) has received a little over ¢15m as a two year back-lock allowance from the ministry of finance and the controller and accountant generals department.

The jussag had earlier declared an indefinite strike on Wednesday protesting over a two year allowance due to its members from the Ministry of Labour and Employment (MoLE).

The president of the association Mr. Alex Nartey stated that, members of the association would not return to post until the two year back-lock allowance had hit the accounts of the association.

Mr. Alex Nartey speaking to Rite FM on Friday stated that the association met with the Minister on Thursday at 4:00 pm who told them that the two year back-lock of the association allowance has being settled and for that matter JUSSAG should call off the strike.

Mr. Nartey added that JUSSAG cross checked from the Ministry of Finance and the Controller and Accountant General’s Department to confirm whether their allowance had been settled as the Minister assured and truly  an amount of a little over ¢15m has hit the associations account.

The president of JUSSAG mentioned that upon confirmation of the payment he called all members to call of the strike, assuring that anyone who has a case at the court can go and seek for justice.
