I fainted upon hearing my husband’s death – Wife of Amakye Dede’s late manager

It was a sorrowful mood when the wife of Amakye Dede’s late manager, Isaac Yeboah recounted her last moment with her husband.

A teary Nana Dokuaa Adobea told Peace FM’s Entertainment Review on Thursday that she was home when a call came through from an anonymous person who told her about a gory accident which has claimed the life of her husband. According to her, she fainted after hearing the bad news.

She recounted that the last time she saw her husband was on 31st December, 2015 when she informed him she will be going for the 31 Night service.

When asked about what kind of husband Isaac Yeboah was, Nana Dokuaa replied that there is none compared to him.

Amakye Dede’s Toyota Corolla car was rammed into by a Sprinter bus from Kumasi with him inside it, as he was waiting to perform a show at the Paradise Spot, a few meters away from the popular Linda Dor Restaurant.

“I saw a taxi driver who entered the main Kumasi-Accra Highway and then he went to the fuel station to buy fuel. After that, he tried to get onto the main road but he was enjoying the music being played at the Paradise spot. But at the same time, he was entering the main road not knowing that Amakye Dede’s car was just behind his car. Once the Taxi driver realized that Amakye Dede’s car was not moving, he decided to pass by it and move onto the main road,” Prince Yeboah, an eye witness, told Citi News.

“Amakye Dede also tried to move from the location and strangely an oncoming sprinter bus collided head-on with Amakye Dede’s corolla car and the taxi driver immediately sped off from the scene. There was a guy and two ladies standing at the fuel station who were also hit by the sprinter. The taxi driver caused the accident. Some people sustained injuries and there was one guy who I think can only survive by the grace of God because he got stuck in the sprinter bus and we managed to pull him out and sent him to the Hospital,” he added.

The gory accident which occurred on New Years Day led to the death of Isaac Yeboah. Amakye Dede and one other person believed to be his bodyguard are receiving treatment at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital and 37 Military Hospital respectively.

The driver of the Sprinter is reported to have been arrested by the police aiding investigations.

Meanwhile, Abrantie Amakye Dede has said his manager and bosom friend is irreplaceable.

“I have lost my best friend, my brother and my manager, Isaac and it will be very difficult to get a replacement for Isaac. It will be very difficult to get a friend or a manager like Isaac but God knows best,” he said.
