The decision taken by the National Executive Committee, (NEC) to suspend indefinitely, former party chairman, Mr. Paul Afoko, is the best and one in the general interest of the party – this is according to a high standing member of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Obiri Boahene .
Sounding very incensed on the Rite Morning Ride, Mr. Boahene said that the NEC had approved what the disciplinary Committee had said and which must be respected by all as the final verdict.
According to him, there was nothing anybody could do about the decision and that if chalking out Paul Afoko was the appropriate decision to ensure the party’s victory come December, 2016, then that should not be a bother to anybody.
Mr. Obiri Boahene who strongly asserted that his party would not allow anybody to influence them with bad decisions, shed light on the qualities of the disciplinary committee which is made up of respected and renowned party leaders such as madam Ama Busia, Haruna Issiku, Dr. Kwame Addo Kuffour, Revene Asante Antwi , Pro Michael Quaye among others, were people who had the party’s interest at heart and can only be credited with good and sound decisions.
