I Am More Than Qualified For The FA Job – Bashir Hayford
Former coach of Asante Kotoko Bashir Hayford believes he is the most qualified candidate to fill the position of the Technical Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
Coach Hayford is among six candidates including expatriates that have applied for the position of Technical Director of the GFA.
Coach Hayford was the coach of the female national team, the Black Queens and led them to the 2018 Africa Women Cup of Nations hosted by Ghana.
Speaking in an interview on a Kumase based Light FM, he said, ‘’I am too mature to be the Technical Director of the GFA’’.
‘’I have the requisite knowledge, skills and competence needed to fill the vacancy of a technical director considering my educational background.
‘’With my experiences overseas, I over qualified to take over from Oti Akenteng left, we should continue extensively,’’ he added.
Coach Hayford recently returned from Somalia where he coached their national team but had to leave due to security considerations.
