HONEY ENHANCES MEMORY AND HEALS DIABETIC WOUNDS

Honey is a natural sugar which is produced by bees and used as a substitute for crystallized sugar which when consumed, provides glucose to the body.

In an interview with Mr. Patrick Newman, President, Ghana Bee Keepers Association, He disclosed that honey contains anti-bacterial and anti-microbial elements which heal all kinds of infections and sores.

According to Mr. Newman the daily consumption of honey boosts the brains performance of both young and old.

He noted in the interview with the host of Food Safety, Nutrition and Hygiene show on Rite FM that the consistent application of honey on diabetic sores helps in rapid healing of such sores.

In conclusion, he advised pregnant and lactating mothers to consume more honey and introduce it to their ward so as to boost the memory of their children adding that adults above age 40 must desist from consuming white sugar and replace it with honey to boost their health.
