Mr Adams, a communications member for the national democratic congress (NDC) in Asuogyaman has said Mr. Halidu Haruna Iddrisu is a hero for saying sorry and also attending the vigil night.
According to him, Mr Halidu is a hero because he had no fears and was able to be at the vigil night even though he was driven away by the police because he is in the ruling party.
Mr. Adams noted that, a lot of people have said worse things than what haruna said making references to statements made by some minority leaders in the parliament and even some aggressive statements made by the flag bearer of the opposition party.
He also revealed that, there are several statements made by people even against the presidential seat, like “if you do not have resources there is no way you should contest for the presidential seat”. Even though haruna halidu iddrisu used hushed words, he apologized and he is a Ghanaian and has equal rights to be at the vigil to witness.
An Executive member for the new patriotic party (NPP) for Yilo, Hon. Simon however, disagrees and stated that it was never necessary for Harunah Halidu Iddrisu to appear at the vigil night.
Even though he has his political right to either vote in or vote out or even criticize the government in power which every citizen has, whenever someone tries to exercise that right, the government in power or question will not come out to defeat whatever you are criticizing but rather, will attack you personally which is a bad strategy because there are people out there who wantsto come out and talk but are afraid of these attacks and insults from communicators.
