There is tension in Bimbilla in the Northern region following shooting in the township.
The violence was reportedly sparked by the refusal of some butchers to perform some traditional rites.
Residents have been asked to stay indoors.
Northern Regional Police PRO ASP Ebenezer Tetteh confirmed the shooting incident to Joy News.
“As we speak now there is sporadic shooting in the Bimbilla township”, he said. No arrests have been made thus far.
