The director of Agro-Health Farm Complex, Mr. Edward Osei Kissi has entreated the government to bring in more intervention to retain the growth of the agriculture sector.
According to him, government has done a lot but there is more room for improvement in order to boost the sector well. Mr. Kissi speaking to rite news has landed a series of challenges facing the agriculture sector, adding that, availability of lands for farming now a days has become a serious challenge to farmers.
He noted that, there is serious competition between agricultural lands and that of settlement citing that, a lot of farms have now into real Estates buildings.
Mr.Kussi has urged the government to make sure that, there is adequate lands for agriculture purposes and that will attract investors into the agriculture sector.
He also mentioned that, government should implement policies that will even make it more attractive for farmers or investors to invest into the agriculture sector like availability of markets.
