Government advised to change direction of Agriculture-Ayawaso West MP

The Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wagon, Hon. Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko has advised government to change the direction of Agriculture in this country.

He said, there should be a radical change of government policies of Agriculture if we want to develop the nation.

Speaking at the 36th Green Week Celebration of International Association of students in Agriculture and Related Science (IAAS) at the University of Ghana-Legon, Hon. Agyarko explained that, he became sad when he saw a truck load of tomatoes from Burkina Faso coming in to Ghana due to lack of concrete Agric policies.

Meanwhile, after the programme, Rite FM news spoke to some Agric students about how government is handling agriculture in the country, and they were of the view that, even though government is trying its best, we need to encourage the youth to go into Agriculture so the importation of food from outside the country will be minimized.
