Fulani Community Donates To Akuse Prisons

The Fulani communities in Ghana led by Tabita Pulakuu International, Ghana Chapter have donated to Akuse Prisons to help combat the spread of COVID 19.
The items donated include Face masks, Hand Sanitizers, Tissues, Veronica Buckets, Liquid Soaps, Rice, Gari, Cooking Oil, milo, Sugar and other food items and PPES worth Ghc 7, 000.
The Secretary for Tabita Pulakuu International, Ghana Chapter Mr Yakubu Musa Barry speaking to Rite Fm’s Morning Show host Austin Ofori Addo, said this is the time to show much love to others since it’s an obligation to every human especially Muslim Communities in this Ramadan.
He urged every Ghanaian, especially the Muslim communities to adhere to the directives from the president and the health practitioners to protect themselves from Covid-19.
He encouraged the Fulanis and the Zongo communities to educate their wards, and avoid limiting them to just cattle rearing since education is the only key to prosperity and the norm of the world.
Mr Yakubu called on the Youth in the Muslim communities to be law abiding citizens so not to fine themselves in prison. He encouraged inmates in the various transformation Centers to exhibit good behaviors.


But he warned politicians to avoid using these Youth in the Zongo communities for their political gains by using them to terrorize others.


Appealing to journalists, Mr Yakubu said tagging Fulanis to every robbery and other criminal activities that takes place in our communities must be avoided
Deputy Director of Prisons, Mr Godwin Mawuena Kwame commended the Fulani community for their kind gesture and called on others to emulate same.
He urged parents to take good care of their wards and play an advisory role, teach them the right social norms that will avoid them earning up in prisons.
Mr Mawuena appealed to Ghanaians to desist from stigmatization because of its negative implication.
