FEED AND CLOTHE THE NEEDY: HEALTH SCREENING UPDATE

As part of yesterday’s program, a health team led by Miss Jacqueline Aboagyewaa, a health practitioner from the Yilo Krobo Municipal Polyclinic set up to do a free intensive screening for people who willingly wanted to do it. Among the health conditions being tested were Tuberculosis (TB), High/Low Blood Pressure (BP) and Human Immune Virus (HIV).

There were interesting results as a few tests revealed the signs, symptoms and presence of the various health conditions among some people. Among the gathered facts were the eight people who tested positive for HIV out of the 48 who took the test yesterday.

Sadly, among these eight people was a little child who apparently contracted the disease from his or her deceased parents. At such a young age it is quite sad and cruel to possess such a deadly virus. The child was assisted accordingly as were the victims of the other conditions.
