FDA warns public of food adulteration
The Food and Drugs Authority has advised the general public to careful of foods in the market, speaking to Rite FM, the principal regulatory officer, Mr. Kofi Essel who warned that some products on the market and in stores are adulterated.
He explained adulteration as an act of adding or mixing something inferior, harmful, useless and unnecessary to food.
The principal regulatory officer noted that the adulterators do that illegal act for the purpose of profit making and deceiving consumers, adding that it is illegal for someone to adulterate food or any consumable goods.
He therefore warn the public if anyone is found culprit will face the law.
