The Ashanti Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Food and Agriculture in a strategic relationship with a group called Zeepay Ghana, has launched and embarked on what they call, Farmers Life Insurance under Akuafo Nkosuo project at Adidwan in the Mampong Municipality of the Ashanti Region.
According to the Ashanti Regional Director of Agric, the core objectives of the programme are amongst others to ensure progressive farming in various farming communities across the country.
Addressing the gathering, the Ashanti Regional Director of Agriculture, Mr. Kwaku Minka Fordjuor explained that, Akuafo Nkosuo has come to stay and to offer a payment ecosystem with many farmers adding that over 1200 farmers in the area benefited from the program.
