The Acting President of the Concerned Farmers Association of Ghana, Nana Opambour Bonsu has stated on the Rite FM Morning Ride that vising farmers for Friday’s National Farmers’ Day celebrations were well hosted at a comfortable hotel. That is not all; he said they were well protected by security personnel.
He emphasized that the farmers were ready for Friday’s event and that security personnel (police) were protecting them with well sophisticated arms.
He said the entire populace of the town of Bolgatanga, the host town, went gay at the arrival and presence of the farmers and that the local people have been warm to them since their arrival.
He however was skeptical of the hot temperatures of the Upper West regional town which according to him could be very inconveniencing to the visiting population.
