Farmers who Are Victims of BA Microfinance Scams Threaten To Vote Against NDC

By Richard Dankwa:

Aggrieved farmers and customers of some troubled microfinance companies in the Brong Ahafo region have vowed to vote against the government of the ruling National Democratic Congress, if President John Dramani Mahama fails to come to their aid to retrieve their monies locked with the banks and some microfinance institutions.

The customers, whose investment have been controversially locked up with DKM, Diamond Microfinance, God Is Love Micro-finance, Care For Humanity Microfinance and Lithe Bank Of Title Drops Association claimed they were rather hurt more by the negligence of the Bank of Ghana which led to them being exploited.

Mr. Kofi Safo Kantaka who is a cashew nut farmer in Kintampo South in the Brong Ahafo region speaking to Rite FM described the situation as ‘very pathetic.’ This he argued is because farmers in that part of the country can no more cater for their families or running the activities on their farmlands due to lack of finance.

Mr safo therefore maintains that, very soon the farmers in the region will march onto the streets and demonstrate against the government and the GCB Bank to release their monies to them.
