Mr. Mayebi Augustine, an extension officer at Hohoe in the Volta region has said that, mobilizing farms in the communities has become a problem because they do not have motorbikes to reach them.

According to him, the only few ones they have also broken done due to technical problems.

Mr. Mayebi speaking to Rite news said, for the past six years, they have not been paid for maintenance of their motorbikes adding that they use their salaries to bear the cost.

He said the unavailability of the logistics is causing hectic in their job and as a matter of fact a challenge to the farmers too.

According to him, government should have provided them good logistics to able to link to the farmers on their field to educate them on the good agronomic practice but it is unfortunate that, most of them do not have it and the ones they have are also broken down.

He added that, at times, they have to do voluntary work to buy fuel into their motorbikes to move through the farming communities to mobilize the farmers to educate them to improve their livelihood.
