Some taxi drivers in the country are virtually taking over the Ambulance Services as a means of transporting the dead to the mortuaries.
Investigations by Rite news confirm that, they do not only carry the dead bodies but also pick passengers alongside the corpses. To outwit unsuspecting passengers, the cunning drivers craftily sit the dead bodies up and cover their face with a cap. This according to Mr. Owusu Bempah, if not checked could be dangerous.
According to the administrator of the St. Martin’s Hospital at Agomanya in the Lower Manya Krobo district of the eastern region, the implications, both physical and spiritually could be disastrous. He has therefore cautioned culprits of this bizarre practice to be wary and put a stop to it.
